The Talking Bible® is an audio Bible player measuring 3.5 x 5 inches. It looks like a little black leather pocket Bible with gold edges, but it is actually made out of a durable plastic. It is lightweight and contains the New Testament or an entire Bible in digital audio format. It is a word for word narration read from an authentic translation of the Bible. It has already been produced in many languages.
It was designed to benefit print impaired people living in rural areas where literacy is virtually non-existent and where printed Bibles would serve no purpose.
Anyone can use the Talking Bible® to hear the Word of God in an easy to understand format.
The goal of Talking Bibles International is to continue producing audio recordings of translated Bibles in languages around the world and makes these recordings accessible to the millions of people in the world who cannot read.
The Talking Bible® is easy to use. Only a few intuitive buttons let you navigate quickly to any book and chapter. You can also scroll up and down through verses if desired.
The Talking Bible® is designed for daily Bible listening. It remembers where you left off when you turn it back on.
It has a powerful speaker loud enough for groups of up 20 people to listen together at the same time. There is an audio jack on the player so you can also use it with regular earphones, headphones, or portable speakers.
There are no moving parts. No CDs or downloads are required. Comes preloaded with the language of choice.
Conveniently runs on three AA batteries. The Talking Bbile can be played using an external solar panel or 6 volt power supply.
And of course, it's audio. It is not synthetic speech, but the actual Bible is read out loud by a human voice.
